We are pleased to announce that copies of The Turn of the Screw are now on sale at Glyndebourne to mark the first production of Britten’s opera there. Each Artist’s Edition includes an original watercolour and a selection of these unique paintings is also on official display at the opera house.
The launch of The Turn of the Screw at The Britten–Pears Library was attended by over 130 people, who enjoyed a beautifully sunny day and much Suffolk hospitality. A short recital (including the ‘Malo’ aria from the opera) was given by the superb treble Andrew Swait, accompanied by Andrew Plant on Britten’s piano. Pictures to follow soon!
We are pleased to announce that, in preparation for the official launch on 19 June, copies of both editions of The Turn of the Screw are now on sale at The Aldeburgh Bookshop.
